Third successful narrative

Students were exposed to the disadvantages of using drugs and some spoke up about how they got addicted and how is it affecting them.

 Awareness campaigns

The youth club offers awareness campaigns whereby we visit schools to raise about a specific topic that the school is facing. At Dumisani Makhaye High School there was a high rate of substance abuse. In that case we offered the school a campaigns we had discussions with learners and teachers as well, about solving the issue. We then decided to have a search party, everyday members of the organization searched learners and their school bags in order to confiscate drugs. This programme managed to minimize the drug rate at the school. There was a 98% matric pass rate due to this programme.
